This war is so tragic, it is challenging to put into words. A few people's arrogance and desire for power is leading to ordinary people, Jewish and Palestinian alike, dying and needlessly living in constant fear. It is sickening to think about, and my heart goes out to all the people experiencing it in real time.

Peace must be prioritized over everything. Peace starts with the laying down of weapons, and the release of all civilian hostages. When these steps are taken, we can begin to look towards the future.

At this point in time, just as with Ukraine, I would support only defensive arm sales to Israel. The United States is a long-standing partner of Israel, and I do not believe we should cut off all arm sales to Israel. However, due to the number of civilian casualties in the region, I believe it is imperative that needless death ends immediately. So, at this present time, our representatives should only approve defensive arms sales for Israel to defend itself.
